Dmitri Kaganovich
Dmitri received his undergraduate studies from Novosibirsk State University in Russia, and all post-graduate degrees from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He currently works at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC. Dmitri served for the Russian Army and the Israel Defense Forces, as well as an Advanced Vertical Caving Team Coach for both the Speleo Club Cascade (Russia) and Israel Cave Research Center.
Major sport achievements and outdoor experience:
- 2006-2007 Adventure races. Raced as navigator, bike mechanic, and rope specialist.
- 2005 - Maryland orienteering championship: 3rd place in division.
- 2003-2004 Cave trips leader at Potomac Speleo Club Washington, DC.
- 2001-2003 Organized and lead cave expeditions at Smirnov outing club, USA.
- 1991-2000 Summer camping instructor. Provided training for high school students, organized cave trips at the Israel Cave Research Center.
- 1989-1991 Participated and lead major underground expeditions into deep caves around the world. The deepest cave Boi-Bulok 1410 m, the longest expedition 13 days at 500 meters deep.
