We are so excited and have spent the season planting the vegetables, animals, and herbs that will be combined for a fabulous four course meal. Each Dirty Dinner will be designed around the season and served with Calleva flair that includes live entertainment and unbelievable ambiance. 

Six Calleva CLS surfers and two lucky staff landed in Orange County, CA right as a big swell was forecast. The conditions were almost too good, as we hit the beach to see waves in the 8 - 10' range. Not to be denied, we suited up that first afternoon and tried our luck. It was a tough paddle out and it was more like bronco riding than surfing. We all climbed out of the water humbled and hungry. Dinner, campfire and sleep felt so good. 

I wanted to give EVERYONE a HUGE THANKS for a fantastic day of community cleanup!  It is amazing to see what can be accomplished in 3 short hours when you get a strong team of leaders, the needed equipment and supplies to do the job, and volunteers as committed as ours were yesterday!

We had over 110 volunteers (1/2 of which were students!) + our PCR crew of 8 + our Partners & Calleva team leaders of 25—for a total of about 143 volunteers for a final total of 572 people hours of labor for our Riley’s lock!  (Those who didn’t sign up aren’t included—or who arrived late- not to mention prep time!).  (Cindy—I recorded only 400 hrs. on our sheet—forgot to add in OURSELVED and Partners—could easily change this figure to 572+!)
