A Night of Culinary Adventure

Many thanks to everyone who came out for Calleva's first-ever Dirty Dinner on Saturday night. It was an incredible evening of delicious food, excellent company, perfect weather and fantastic bluegrass music. The gorgeous farm-to-table meal featured ingredients grown at Calleva Farm -- early peas, spinach, chicken, eggs, honey, strawberries & more. I think it's safe to say that a good time was had by all!

More Dirty Dinners are coming -- July 22 and September 21. Don't miss out! Space is limited, so make your online reservations as soon as you can. Be sure to look for more May 19 photos on our Facebook page later this week.

Calleva Farm-to-Table Dirty Dinners Series Starts on Saturday

We are getting ready for the first-ever Dirty Dinner, a farm-to-table feast at Calleva Farm.  The garden is producing beautiful vegetables (& strawberries!) that will be the foundation of our meal.  Our spring chickens will be the main course, along with spinach, collard greens, salad greens, beets, peas, strawberries noney, eggs and herbs from the Growing Green garden.  Also, we're featuring ramps freshly harvested from Adventure Island!  Many thanks to our local partners, who are providing ingredients that will make this a delicious, well-rounded meal.

All Kinds of Spring!

It's springtime at Calleva and we've got school groups all over the place!  This week, Boys Latin hiked for 5 days in the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, Flint Hill's kindergarten visited the farm, and Stone Ridge had a whole lot of educational adventure in the woods, on the river & at the farm.  Stay tuned for photos from those programs, and meanwhile enjoy these glimpses of past Calleva school groups in action.

Thanks for coming!

We want to thank everyone who came out to the Calleva Summer Camp open house last weekend at Riley's Lock.  It was a fun time, with kids everywhere trying new things and having a blast.  More than 100 of you came out to meet our staff, try a little climbing, ride a horse and paddle on the river.  It was great to see you!  We can't wait for summer to get started, but the open house was a good taste of what's coming!  There are still a few spots left in our summer camp programs.  Check availability on our schedule matrix and sign up today!
