Building Green will have campers learning and assisting in a batch of biofuel, constructing enviro-friendly camping facilities, with erosion control, rain water collection, green design and implementing alternative options. This is a work week, campers use their hands and see first hand the accomplishments and the rewards of responisible environmental practices. This has been considered a "Staff High Adventure" in years past as we have built our company from the ground up. We have learned lots since we started and have constantly been bringing in fresh ideas and concepts towards accomplishing our goals and fulfilling our mission. We have also led many projects that involved building and have found that the benefits from this type of project is unequalled. Feel proud about what you have accomplished, learned along the way, and done for the environment.

  • Perfect for any aspiring architect to learn responsible building practices.
  • This years 2008 project is renovation and greening up of the River House at Riley's Lock.
  • Pictures, designs and environmental projects to be listed soon.

Last years projects included...

  • The Island: Composting Toilet treehouse (a work of art) from reclaimed resources.

  • The Farm: Dog-Trot from fallen trees and reclaimed roof, doors, and windows.

  • Biodiesel: Construction of tank bases for biodiesel production.

Past projects completed by students/campers:
Adventure Island, Farm Ampitheatre, Treetop Classroom (lead by Mo), Corn Crib Restoration, Cross Country Horseback Riding Course, Mountain Biking XC Trail (Lead by Mo), MHF Robotics, Teacher Tree House, Biodiesel Processor.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Campers will be using Power - Tools after they have been instructed about how to safely operate and protect themselves.If you wish for your child to not have that option, arrangements can be made.
