Day 1: Calleva Farm Trails
184 acres in the heart of the Agricultural Reserve with half the property wooded and riddled with trails is a great place to start. As Kim gets a feel for her students and the students get a feel for their horses, campers prepare themselves for what is sure to be a great week.
Day 2: C&O Park (Side Trails)
When you mention the C&O, the first thing to pop into the mind is 184 miles of TOWPATH. That is what the C&O novice knows, but true enthusiasts know that many more miles of trails thread the surrounding banks of river and canal alike. Streams and trails trickle into this vast watershed from all of Maryland and the Park bustles with the traffic of nature. Our riders join the movement and work their way through the park and along the banks for a deeper view of the C&O National Historic Park.
Day 3: Woodstock Equestrian Park
"Woodstock Equestrian Park is located in the heart of the scenic Agricultural Reserve, just north of the historic town of Beallsville. The Park consists of over 825 acres of rolling farmland and forest, and includes over 15 miles of equestrian and hiking trails. Entrances to the park and parking areas are located on both sides of MD Rt. 28 behind stone entrance walls. Through a public-private partnership with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Woodstock Equestrian Park Foundation (WEPF) this partnership is working to ensure the appropriate use of Woodstock Equestrian Park as a public equestrian facility in Montgomery County."
