2008 EXPLORER CLIMBING
Climbing takes place on our 30' climbing wall located within the shade of a cluster of trees in our backyard. The 3 faces offer up a variety of routes from pitch angle, hold sizes, and route difficulty with 4 belay ropes/routes. Up to 4 persons can climb on the wall at a time and each climber is belayed by our staff who coaches and instructs the camper up the wall. This is sure to get the Explorers pushing themselves, and giving them a sense of accomplishment. Each time up at the climb gives our staff a chance to encourage and praise our campers as they scale the skill awards as well as the wall.
Last Year we added some portable Ropes Course elements to the surrounding trees and enhanced the vertical options.
All explorers do all activities, unless for health reasons.
This Year, we are expanding the portable ropes course elements for even more options. Waiting campers will get to work through low elements and climbers will have something additional to climb. It gets better every year.
