2010 EXPLORER CAMP
The Explorer Camp is exceptional. Andrew Pratt has tweaked his program to offer more individual group time, more adventure, and more fun. With exceptional staff, Calleva has created the ultimate camp for younger kids. We all feel strongly about continuing to evolve, and as the seasons changed so did our curriculum. The Explorers Camp focuses on some of the core Calleva Activities, but broadens the appeal with some more traditional camping experiences. Campers participate in a variety of activities including: Climbing, Kayaking, Horseback Riding, Adventure Island, Arts & Crafts, C&O Adventures, Woodland Adventures and Farm Fun. Operating and traveling within the NHP, County and State Parks, and private property near the Potomac and Seneca Creek confluence; campers use a variety of resources to learn and create a lifetime of memories.

Meet the Director: Andrew "Baldy" Pratt
New for 2010:
Now that our Explorers have been all over the world, "Baldy" wants to travel through time and create a new platform for our staff to lead their activities. With an enhanced farm program, and fun weekly themes, Explorers will continue to grow within the activities and also learn more about themselves while participating in the strongest outdoor program for youth ages 6-9. We have re-named "Going Green", and "Growing Green" to "Woodland Adventures" and "Farm Fun". With the new names, comes a more organized approach with less overlap and more structured activities.
