About Kayak Canada: The rivers we will be paddling will be ranging primarily in III-IV levels. Participants must have a solid roll and hardcore boating attitude. This trip will be a step up in difficulty from the WV trip. Longer drives, bigger waves, steeper drops and (dare I say it?) better times!

Black River River: The Black is one of the best runs in NY and makes a great intro to the trip. Start out with the ideal play spot at Hole Bros. Then continue on through class II/III rapids to Knife's Edge rapid. Knifes Edge will be our first taste of the big powerful water we will be experiencing during the week. After Knife's Edge its gets easier but the volume remains in big waves and good times.

Ottawa River: The Ottawa is the play river of our dreams. Big water and fast waves. The run starts with McCoy's rapid which includes the intimidating (but fun) Phil's Hole move. From there its just big waves and play for the rest of the day. We will definitely see a few pros out at the playspots which is always pretty cool.

Malbaie River: The Malbaie is the most technical of the rivers we will paddle. A true wilderness run, the Malbaie begins with a 2 mile carry to the put-in, but its worth it. The run consists of 50 drops over 6 miles, ranging from a few feet to 34 feet (impressive but very portagable).

Other river possibilities: Metabetchuan, Gatineau, Mattawin, Jaques Cartier.

Camping: Car camping will be our style of choice. Near "put-ins" and "take-outs" and on the banks of these beautiful rivers.
