EXP. Farm Fun

Kids love animals, plants, and worms!!!! That's right - getting dirty on the farm is part of the curriculum. The Calleva Farm has so much to offer our campers, and the Explorers have an opportunity to help feed the baby goats and check to see if there are eggs in the hen house. Farm Fun goes beyond caring for the animals, but also caring for the plants and soil. Campers that sign up for multiple weeks will see their plants grow and learn to care for and reap the rewards from nurturing food crops.

All Explorers do all activities, unless for health reasons. The campers will be handling animals and participating in VERY basic farm chores. All the benefits of growing up on a farm without the ongoing responsibilities -- It's a refreshing change of pace for city kids!

Daily NeedsList:

  • Lunch in ziplock bag,
  • Bathing suit, Towel,
  • Water shoes,
  • Water bottle,
  • Sunscreen and Hat!

Safety and proper sanitary conditions are a high priority on the farm. Campers wash hands after handling the animals and using the restrooms.  Drinking water is provided.
