EXP. Horseback Riding
Horseback Riding takes place at Calleva Farm. The facility includes a beginner trail ride, dressage arena and stables w/ covered craft room and classroom. Under careful supervision of our staff, Explorers are introduced to the wonderful world of horses and have the opportunity to ride and familiarize themselves with the sport. We feel very strongly about the benefits of introducing children to animals and getting them comfortable with the care and handling of these large animals. Every week, Explorers come back for a second day of riding, which allows them to go beyond the initial introduction into a deeper connection with horses and riding.
All Explorers do all activities, unless for health reasons. Jenny continues to capture the hearts of our campers with the ever so strong riding program. Not only do campers learn how to be safe and comfortable around these beautiful animals, they learned how to ride for real! Instruction is blended with all the right games to provide downtime and fun on the farm.
