Winter Leasing- Leasing a horse at Calleva is an option for our year round students between November and February. Students will be paired with a suitable horse and have the option of a full lease (5 one hour rides a week) or a half lease (3 one hour rides a week). Students treat the horse as though he or she was their own horse without the added costs of vet and farrier visits, de-worming and feed expenses. This is a great deal and a nice introduction to horse ownership.
- Full lease - $300 per month
- Half lease - $150 per month
Spring Horse Show- Calleva's annual spring horse show is open to all Calleva Boarders, students, Tiny Tots students and Saddle Club members. Our Calleva horse shows are designed to allow our students and boarders to show off their skills while learning basic show etiquette in a safe and fun environment. The shows are classified as schooling shows and are not rated. Boarders ride their own horses and students ride Calleva school horses. Costs vary.
School Programs- School riding programs can be booked through the Calleva office at anytime during the spring or fall. Calleva offers 3 - 6 hour programs covering grooming, saddling, riding lessons, games, un-mounted lessons including parts of the horse, parts of the tack, breeds, colors, markings, etc. Cost included in program.
Summer Camp- Calleva's famous summer camp takes place from mid June - mid August. Horseback Riding (more commonly known as "HBR") is one of the most popular activities that Calleva offers each summer. There are 3 to 4 skill levels and each camper will be assessed on day one and placed into an appropriate level for his or her riding ability. Each camper will spend a minimum of 1 hour per day on their horse each day (weather pending) and the rest of the time is spent learning about the fundamentals of horse care, playing games, swimming, learning camp songs and most importantly - making new friends (human and equine)! See Summer HBR Camps.
