If life is a beach then Calleva surfers are living large, gliding on the waves and soaking up the sun. Come surf the best breaks DE and MD have to offer! This program gives the student a strong foundation for surfing fundamentals and develops skills in novice surfers.  Calleva surfers will rotate camps between Cape Henlopen State Park near Lewes, DE (wks 3,4,5,9,12,13), Assateague, MD (wks 8,10, 11), and Cape Hatteras, NC (week 6), where the long shoreline caters to surfers of all abilities. Learn surf etiquette, how to read the break and ocean currents and basic water safety. We will travel to other local surf spots along the coast searching for the best waves. On land, we'll join the Cape Henlopen State Park for beach cleanups and park restoration projects. We will also have the great opportunity to meet a board shaper, work on this year's Calleva Board and see the process that goes into making our beloved boards. On our last night we'll celebrate our achievements and challenge our arcade skills at the boardwalk.

* During Week 6, Mogo will be running Surf North Carolina for more advanced surfers.

Parents must drop off students at the Calleva Office between 7-8am on Monday Mornings, and pick them up between 6-7pm on Friday evening at the Calleva Office.  For the Surfing CLS NC trip, parents must drop off students at Calleva Office by 9am on Sunday morning, and pick them up by 7pm on Saturday evening.

Special Considerations: Rain does not deter surfing, but if in case of a flat spell or the waves being just too big for the kids there are numerous activities around the area. Endless beach games, Ocean City boardwalk, bike rentals, surf movies, fishing, water parks, etc... Life's a beach!
