SCHOOL PROGRAMS

ABOUT CALLEVA SCHOOL PROGRAMS: In 1996 we were asked to run the senior class trip for a school that was unhappy and trapped in a tired old outdoor ed program. They wanted new energy, closer locations, and a more diverse selection. One of the parents was familiar with everything that was going on with our relatively young company and brought the school knocking on our door. It seemed like a very likely progression of what we had in mind for our company, so we took to a new direction. What we found was the same story from school to school, and soon had a little network of private schools that recognized the power of outdoor education, but lacking a strong community to attach itself to. In the last 10 years, Calleva has increased the number of schools we work with and continued to add more options each year.

This year we have added a NEW 2 day program to our Island for the most unique adventure yet! Our success comes from our year-round and seasonal staff that create a safe and fun environment for students to have positive outdoor experiences. The wide variety of programming options has us seeing many repeat students. This makes for greater individual and group growth because comfort levels and willingness has increased. And when you strip down the programs, you're left with solid staff that create opportunities for students to grow, allow teachers the flexibility to take whatever role they are comfortable with, and lead by example. BASIC PROGRAMS: Calleva is your school's one stop shopping for outdoor education. We put together custom packages specifically designed for your class needs. We will work with your budget and put together a program that your students will be talking about for years. Calleva offers a huge selection in activities, locations, and programming styles. We can offer the same school such a wide variety of programs, that classes will want to keep coming back to find out what's next. Each of our packages can be adapted to fit the teacher's desired focus, or the student's preferences.

Instead of buying into a pre-packaged deal, we meet with your school and planning board and work on it until you are as excited about it as we are. Our goals for your program are simple:
